Seasonal Diary
Spring is Here!
(April 14, 2009)Lots of hedge and tree blossoms are appearing. The blackthorn hedges are white with blossom, and tassles of green flowers are beginning to appear on the old oak trees on the farm. The hedges which were layed during the winter are beginning to shoot with bright green leaf.
The pheasants, frogs, toads & partridges are courting - all of which can be seen from the cottage conservatory.
Baby toads................
The cherry tree in the cottage garden will soon be in flower - a beautiful sight. It is usually laden with cherries in the summer - we make tasty cherry sauce to pour over our winter ice cream.
Nearly there.................
Now fully out................. 22nd April 2009
